Left of Center
Isn’t everybody tired of hearing the local bands playing the same tired old songs that we have been listening to for years? Some do them better than others, but it’s the same grind over and over again. Well as the members of this group have all been playing professionally for well over 30 years, we are not only tired of hearing those songs we are tired of playing them!!! So we collectively had the thought…Why don’t we play songs by artists that everyone knows like Elton John, Steppenwolf, The Doors, Van Morrison, Little Feat, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Three Dog Night. But play the songs that were big hits and never done by many of the local bands? A very simple plan, and as it turns out, a lot of fun for both us the musicians, and certainly a great treat for our audiences. So this group was born....  Music that is “Left of Center!!!”  Visit band online

Michael K

Michael K.'s got hooks... catchy well-written pop/rock songs that are easily identifiable to listeners of all ages. His songs have been featured on cable TV, MTV, and a major motion picture. He has performed solo and with a full backing band in most of the upper tier music venues in the Baltimore/Annapolis area as well select showcases in L.A., Chicago, and New York City.  Michael K hails from Pennsylvania, but it's the Chesapeake Bay area where he now resides, and what most informs his work. The brick roadways of Annapolis, the city streets of Baltimore, and the waters of the Bay itself imbue his songs with a sense of warmth without sacrificing verve.

Shawn Owen

Chill. That’s Shawn’s style and sound. Whether he’s lightly finger picking and singing falsetto or violently strumming and screaming apparently angered at the microphone, he brings his emotions of relaxation, energy, love, aggression, peace and struggle simultaneously to the surface for all to see. Shawn released his first solo project in the form of a 6 song acoustic EP at Carnegie Hall in Lewisburg, WV on Jan 27, 2012. Shawn began his professional music career by forming Stolen Element in 1999, playing a home brewed style of punk-rock reggae music while manning guitar and vocals over the past ten years. As the band dissolved, Shawn took to the solo route and has excelled in Annapolis, MD where he now calls home.   Visit band online

Scattered Leaves
Being a band that formed around a mutual appreciation for chocolate covered donuts on a Sunday morning and our wannabe rock star personas, we felt compelled to take our pursuits to the road. We call Southern Maryland home, Huntingtown to be more specific and our regular Sunday morning gig is why we do what we do. We desire our melodies to take you on a journey that stirs your soul. Musical influences are as eclectic as our personal backgrounds and interests. We strive for the sound of modern rock such as Anberlin, MuteMath and Lifehouse; 80’s ballads much like the creations of Bon Jovi and Def Leppard; to southern rock, you know, Texas stuff and much more. But we don’t believe in limiting our creativity. We enjoy performing traditional church anthems as you might hear sung by Joe Elliot of the aforementioned Def Leppard … minus the British accent, of course. Visit band online
