This is your opportunity to sample the KCBS Competition Barbeque.  Competitors will each be smokin' slow and low a pork butt for your tasting pleasure.  Of course the festival will have plenty of barbeque vendors on hand, but this is your chance to sample a small savor of delicious goodness from a variety of competitors.  As an added bonus, you can vote for your favorite BBQ by casting your vote in the People's Choice Award.  As the competitor's grill space is limited, there will only be a limited number of tickets sold to this event.

VIP - $45 (Advance Sales Only)

Just look at what you get! Ticket includes your admission, 2 beers, and all the water / soft drinks you want.  Dedicated parking area with shuttle service to & from the event.  No standing in line waiting to get into the festival. Special covered-seating area with music from the Valley stage and restroom dedicated to VIP's only.  This ticket will also gain you access to the People's Choice Award Tasting Event on Saturday between 2:30-5PM.  And on Sunday, there will be competition pulled pork to sample.  And if this isn't enough, VIP ticket will allow you to come out to the fairgrounds on Friday evening to converse with the KCBS competitors in hopes of learning some of their barBAYq secrets.  This will be informal, but we wanted to give those interested the opportunity to learn from the best.

DIRECTIONS to Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds

From outside the Annapolis Area

1. Take Route 50 West to Route 450.
2. Take Route 450 to Route 178 (General's Highway) at Annapolis Mall.
3. Fairgrounds are approximately 5 miles on left side, just past Eisenhower Golf Course.

From the Annapolis Area

1. Take West Street towards the Annapolis Mall.
2. Follow on West Street past the mall where it changes to Route 178 (General's Highway).
3. Fairgrounds are approximately 5 miles on left side, just past Eisenhower Golf Course.

From the Baltimore Area

1. Travel I-97 South towards Annapolis.
2. Take Exit 5 to Route 178 (General's Highway).
3. Drive through 3 traffic lights.
4. After third traffic light, Fairgrounds are approximately 0.5 mile on right.

From the Eastern Shore

1. Travel Route 50 West to Exit 24B (Bestgate Road).
2. At mall, turn right onto Route 178 (General's Highway).
3. Fairgrounds are approximately 5 miles on left side, just past Eisenhower Golf Course.

From the Washington Beltway

1. Take Exit 19 to Route 50 East.
2. At Annapolis, take Exit 23 to merge onto Route 450 West (West Street).
3. Follow on West Street past the mall where it changes to Route 178 (General's Highway
